An air fryer is a quick way to put a cooked breakfast on the table. It heats up in a few minutes, there is no frying pan to scrub afterwards and several items can cook in the same basket if you leave a little space between them. The recipes below give the temperature and time for each one, so the bacon is crisp and the eggs are set the way you like them.

What works well for breakfast

Bacon, sausages, hash browns, toast and eggs all suit the air fryer. Bacon and hash browns crisp up at around 180 °C to 200 °C, while eggs are better at a lower temperature so the whites set without turning rubbery. Sausages need to be cooked through, so the recipes give a core temperature of 75 °C with no pink meat in the middle. Pastries, muffins and other bakes go in at a lower setting, usually 150 °C to 160 °C.

Planning a bigger breakfast

If you are cooking for a few people, work out which items take longest and start with those. The air fryer cooking times and temperatures table is a handy way to compare dishes. For something later in the day, see lunch and dinner, or browse all recipes.
