All recipes: Lunch

Lunch is often the meal with the least time, and the air fryer suits that. There is no long preheat, the food cooks quickly and you can leave it unattended apart from a shake of the basket halfway through. The recipes in this section cover light meals and quick hot dishes, each with the temperature, the time and a note on how to tell when the food is ready.

Quick hot lunches

Jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches, fish fingers, chicken pieces and reheated leftovers all work well. Most of these cook at 180 °C to 200 °C and take between 8 and 40 minutes, depending on size. Where a recipe uses chicken, sausages or minced meat, it gives a core temperature of 75 °C so you can check the food is cooked through with a meat thermometer.

Sides and leftovers

The air fryer is also good for bringing yesterday's food back to life. Roast vegetables and chips regain their crispness far better than in the microwave. Reheated food should be steaming hot all the way through. For heartier evening meals, have a look at dinner, and for something to nibble on, try snacks. Cooking times for every dish are collected in the air fryer cooking times and temperatures table.
